Chapter 126 A Sleepy Little Battle for Attention
“Nina, stay awake just a little longer. We’ll be home soon and you can sleep.”
William hurried all the way back, trying to beat the moment Nina finally lost her fight against sleep. Thankfully, he made it.
Benjamin was still at home.

The moment he saw Nina return, Benjamin walked over in a few quick steps and naturally took her into his
arms.
William said, “Take her to bed right away. She’s completely done.
“She was so tired she stopped talking in the car.”
If the little chatterbox stopped making noise, she was obviously exhausted.
Benjamin answered with a soft “Mm,” and carried Nina to Amelia’s room.
Amelia, who had fallen asleep earlier on the couch in the music room, was now lying in her bedroom bed.
Benjamin gently placed Nina beside her.
He stood there for a moment. He should have left, but after a few seconds, he still moved to the outer side of the bed and lay down, just like he had the night he stayed up to take care of Nina.
Following behind them, Frank locked himself inside his room and angrily called Ryan.
“Nina wouldn’t let Grandpa William hold me! The moment she showed up, Grandpa William couldn’t see me anymore! He only looked at her!
“And Uncle Benjamin, Uncle Benjamin likes her too!”
Every time Frank came back to the Graham Residence before, William always gave him plenty of attention.
Benjamin was cold, yes, but he still talked to him at least a little.
Now that Nina existed, Frank felt his importance in the Graham family plummeting.
The gap was too much for him to accept.
He continued, “Grandpa, if Grandpa William already treats me like this, will he still love me later?
“I’m no longer the only child in the Graham family!
“Will I still get to inher-”
Ryan cut him off sharply, “Stop! Haven’t I taught you to be careful?!
“Remember what you can say and what you cannot.”
After scolding Frank for talking carelessly, Ryan lowered his voice and began instructing him, “It doesn’t matter that William has a granddaughter.
“Having a child isn’t impressive. Raising one well is what matters.”

Chapter 126 A Sleepy Little Battle for Attention
Ryan brought Frank back this time because he’d heard out Nina
First, he wanted to see how she was being treated in the Graham family.
Second, because he needed money and planned to get some from William.

Bringing Frank along meant William would see him again and hopefully get emotionally closer to him.
William cared a lot about Frank, and he had already spent quite a bit setting up an education fund just for him.
Ryan brought Frank back this time so William could see him again and hopefully grow a little closer to him.
But none of Ryan’s plans had worked so far.
Ryan despised Nina for being a variable he couldn’t control, but to his grandson, he still softened his tone and coaxed him.
“Frank, you’re older than Nina, and you’re smarter and better.
“Nina has a terrible temper, just like her father.
“Benjamin doesn’t have a close relationship with William.”
“I believe in you. You’ll definitely surpass Nina. You’ll make William love you more.”
With Ryan’s steady stream of reassurance, Frank finally calmed down.
After lunch, the day’s laziness set in.
Frank didn’t nap at all, while Amelia slept too soundly.
She woke
up around two.
Still groggy, Amelia murmured, “Nina,” and without opening her eyes, reached out to touch her little girl.
It was her instinct every time she woke up.
But instead of soft, chubby Nina, her hand landed on a big, firm hand-one noticeably larger than hers.
And its familiar feel… made her freeze.
She blinked her eyes open. Benjamin was lying right beside her, still asleep.
And sprawled across Benjamin’s chest was Nina.
Nina was sleeping soundly, her entire weight pressed oo him.
