Daniel had just seen the notification when-one second later-he was removed from the group.

William tagged Amelia in the chat, “Amelia, make sure you accept it. It’s for you and Nina!”

Amelia felt embarrassed, but William insisted she take it.

Since she couldn’t keep refusing his kindness, she decided to accept it. She clicked it open and saw that each transfer note carried two hundred dollars. After accepting two, she stopped.

Seeing she didn’t accept the others, William clicked to collect them himself.

Only after all the money was claimed did William add Daniel back into the group.

The moment Daniel returned, he started spamming question marks.

Daniel asked, tagging William, “What happened? Dad, am I really not your biological son?!”

William ignored Daniel’s complaints and sent his schedule instead. “I’m heading back soon. Amelia, take good care of Nina at home.”

Amelia replied, “Okay!”

After chatting in the group, Amelia looked up and found Nina already fast asleep.

There was a carpet on the floor, Nina lay spread out on it, her chubby little body completely relaxed, sleeping soundly.

Amelia felt a little bad occupying his resting space. “Benjamin, then… where will you nap at noon?” she asked.

“I don’t nap.”

That was what he said, but Amelia felt that since he had a resting room set up, he must usually use it.

She said, “How about you sleep with Nina? I’m not sleepy. I can stay up.”

Amelia wanted to give the room back to him.

Benjamin looked at her and said flatly, “You need rest.”

“What?” Amelia blinked.

Before she could react, Benjamin had already stepped out of the room.

When he left, he even closed the door gently behind him.

Amelia stared at the closed door for a moment, then stayed and lay beside the sleeping Nina.

Benjamin’s lounge was spotless and neatly arranged. Every item seemed perfectly placed.

As she looked around, Amelia realized there were no signs of anyone actually living there.

No-more accurately, no signs of daily life.

After taking a quick wash in the bathroom, she got into bed and wrapped her arm around Nina.

She had just claimed she wasn’t sleepy, but the moment her head touched the pillow, she fell asleep even faster than Nina.

While both of them slept, Benjamin sat at the desk outside, holding his phone and sending messages.

His messages were short-just a few instructions.

And only a little while after those instructions were sent, Darius-who hadn’t gone to the set today—threw down everything he was doing and rushed back to the production crew.

The moment Darius arrived, he exploded and asked, “Where the hell is he?!”
