Bryan’s heart began to race with terror as he realized how dangerous things were. “What are you going to do?”
Bryan unconsciously backed off as Seraphina got closer, hunching down in the corner with nowhere to go.
“Jacob Hall is my father. He will not spare you or your Whitewood family if you dare to touch me. You’d better give it some thought.” Bryan mentioned his support in an attempt to scare her.
Seraphina, however, was not buying it. When Bryan attempted to kick after she had pulled him up, his leg was trodden on with such force that it nearly broke.
“I’ll make sure you suffer when I return if you dare to touch me. Even the Whitewood Family cannot defend you; my family will never let you go.” In an attempt to terrify her and gain more bravery, Bryan yelled.
But Seraphina remained silent the whole time, her gaze cold and cruel. After seizing his hair, she violently banged his head against the wall.
Bang…
Bryan felt lightheaded from the pain. His head was raised once more and smacked against the wall again before the screams could reach his throat and the pain had a chance to completely register.
Ah! The wretched cries reverberated throughout the alley.
As terrible as he could appear, Bryan’s head was already covered with blood, and fresh blood had already clouded his vision.
One of Bryan’s lackeys, who was on the ground, shook as he attempted to stand up and save Bryan. Seraphina turned her head, however, and stared at him icily as he got closer.
His legs began to shake violently in an instant, and he was too timid to get any closer.
The woman in front of him no longer seemed feeble; instead, she resembled a death god from hell, with a chilly, menacing expression in her eyes and a murderous aura emanating from every part of her body.
Meanwhile, a group of well–dressed, affluent people were approaching them from a corner of the alley.
“Mr. Drakon, this area is at a great location and is the last one in the entire old city.” The district mayor was constantly speaking, saying, “Once developed, it can be used for both commercial

The man at the front, who was looking across the rows of ancient wooden houses, remained
silent.
After hearing a small commotion nearby, a young woman remarked, “It sounds like someone is calling for help over there.”
Everyone turned to listen intently, and they certainly heard calls for assistance.
There were hardly any inhabitants in this region since it was full of dilapidated homes that the government had planned to develop and auction off, and the residents had already moved out.
Jason and the others made their way in the direction of the sound. The shouts grew louder as they got closer, and everyone could hear them.
