Chapter 188 I Can Help You
Molly exposed Yvonne directly. “You came here hoping to find a man, didn’t you?”
Yvonne’s face instantly flushed, her checks turning bright red. She stammered, “I–I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Molly continued, “Don’t be shy. I’ve seen plenty of women like you. In fact, they’re everywhere in this venue. Take the woman over there in the low–cut purple gown, or the one in the black backless dress to the left. They’re just like you.
“These people will go to any lengths just to get into high–class events like this. Once they’re inside, they look for potential targets. If someone shows interest and they’re interested as well, it all falls into place. Both parties get what they want.”
Yvonne hadn’t heard such a blunt topic discussed so openly before. She felt her face grow even redder, her discomfort evident.
Molly added, “Don’t get too embarrassed. These women have their targets, and they do their homework well in advance. Still, even after a banquet like this, they may not end up finding the right connections.”
Yvonne’s nervousness began to creep in. She knew this was her only chance, but she wasn’t sure how to navigate it. She couldn’t expect Seraphina to keep helping her indefinitely.
Molly pressed further. “Do you have a specific target in mind?”
Yvonne shook her head.
Molly raised an eyebrow. “Well, then, this won’t work. You can’t just blindly search. It’s a waste of time, and you’ll get nowhere.”
Yvonne’s panic grew. She didn’t know anyone here. How could she possibly make a move?
Molly smiled, her tone light and coaxing. “I can help you with that. If you do me a small favor, I can show you how to pick the right men. I know what they’re looking for in women, who’s easy to approach, and who’s just going to waste your time.”
“What favor?” Yvonne asked cautiously.
Molly’s smile turned sly. “It’s really simple. See that woman in the red evening gown over there on the left? All you need to do is pour this glass of juice on her. That’s it.”
Yvonne asked, “What if she asks me for compensation afterward?”
Molly burst into laughter, clearly entertained. “Please. At an event like this, no one’s going to

Yvonne still wasn’t sure, skepticism in her eyes. “Is it really that simple? I mean, are you sure you’re not just messing with me?”
Molly gave her a knowing look. “Believe it or not, it’s up to you.”
She stood up to leave, the conversation seemingly over.
Yvonne quickly grabbed Molly’s arm. “I… I didn’t say I wouldn’t do it.”
“Well, if you’re going to do it, just do it. No need to overthink it,” she said with a dismissive shrug, a hint of satisfaction in her eyes.
Meanwhile, the woman in the red evening gown stood next to a middle–aged man in his forties. His appearance was rather plain, but he exuded a quiet, scholarly elegance.
The woman in red shivered slightly as the man approached her. He placed a hand around her waist, guiding her through the crowd toward Jason.
Jason, who had been engaging in conversation with various important figures, suddenly broke free from the crowd. His eyes scanned the room, and they quickly landed on the woman in red.
Jason walked toward her.
“Try this,” Evelyn said with a smile, placing a small piece of cake on Seraphina’s plate.
Seraphina, taking a bite, chewed thoughtfully before nodding. “It’s not bad.”
