227 Conducting A Paternity Test
Meanwhile, the internet was flooded with news about Thomas and Lily being attacked by criminals and subsequently hospitalized. The hospital was swarmed with people, making it impenetrable.
Thomas was stuck in the hotel, unable to leave.
Michael sat on the couch, glancing at his hand. “Post something on social media tonight to reassure your
fans.”
“You handle it.”
Thomas fiddled with his phone, repeatedly tapping on it with one hand.
He had sent Seraphina over a dozen messages, but it was like throwing a stone into the ocean–no
response.
Her expression when she left gave him a bad feeling. His instincts told him that something significant had happened, and he was genuinely concerned.
Michael noticed him glued to his phone, furiously tapping away. A vein throbbing visibly on his forehead. “Thomas, what the hell are you doing?”
“Private time.”
You have no right to interfere!
Michael nearly lost it. This kid was testing his patience.
Lying in bed, Seraphina picked up her phone. The battery had died earlier, and it automatically powered off. As soon as she plugged it in, countless notifications poured in, most of them from Thomas.
She first sent brief messages to reassure both Dora and Evelyn, giving them an update on Thomas‘ condition. Only then did she open Thomas‘ messages.
‘Sera, you left in such a hurry earlier that I didn’t have a chance to thank you. I owe you big time today–if it weren’t for you, my hand would’ve been useless.
‘Come to think of it, you’re my savior. As my savior, is there any wish you’d like me to fulfill? I’ll make it happen.
‘No rush. Take your time to think it over and let me know when you’re ready.’
‘Sera, please remember–we’re friends. If you’re ever in trouble, you can tell me, I might not be able to solve everything, but an extra hand never hurts. I’m good at keeping secrets, I promise.’
Reading through his messages, Seraphina felt a warmth spreading in her chest.
He didn’t ask for anything in return, yet he managed to bring her comfort–something she had never experienced in her previous life.

Whether it was Evelyn, Jason, or Thomas, they were her greatest treasures in this life.
She cherished them deeply and feared losing the bond they shared.
After some thought, she sent him a simple message.
I’m fine. I’ll speak up if something’s wrong. You need to rest–staying up late isn’t good for healing. Good night.’
Thomas stared at her message, reading it over and over. Finally, he frowned.
This girl was far too guarded. Despite her age, she seemed to have layers of secrets buried in her heart.
Sometimes, she inexplicably gave him a sense of déjà vu–like…
That’s it. She reminded him of his second brother.
