The Abandoned Heiress Reborn to Be Cherished (Seraphina) novel Chapter 243

Will Seraphina be another financial genius? Joe thought.

He looked at Andrew, then at the heavilydressed girl on the screen. The idea was unreal to him. He was humbled to think of her achievements.

He had always been the trophy child since a young age. He was the top student in his class from elementary school to university. He even obtained his PhD.

Everyone agreed that he was excellent, and he also thought highly of himself. When he met Andrew, he finally realized there were people better than him.

He might be intelligent, but he was far from being a genius.

I thought genius should be rare! Why are they springing up like mushrooms now? For example, Mr. Foster. Then, there’s the girl.

The truth struck Joe hard and saddened him. He finally met the trophy children who outshone him.

Andrew pointed at Seraphina in the photo. I want to meet her.

Joe nodded. “I’ll arrange it right away.”

Five minutes later, in the Whitewood Estate in Pyrin. Seraphina’s phone rang in her room, but she was sunbathing in the courtyard.

Linara heard the ringing phone when she passed by Seraphina’s room. After confirming no one saw her, she quietly snuck into the room.

Tears welled up in her eyes at the sight of the familiar decorations, and resentment grasped her heart. Still, the ringing phone on the bedside snapped her out of her trance.

She walked over to pick up the phone. It was from an unsaved number. Although she didn’t know who the caller was, she reckoned they weren’t normal people.

She didn’t know what drove her to answer the call, but she did it anyway. Then, a male voice greeted her, Hello, is this Miss Seraphina?

Linara hummed a response.

I’m Joe Owens, the chief assistant of FX Nova Group. The thing is, Mr. Foster would like to meet with you. Are you available?Joe asked politely.

Jealousy surged within Linara when she heard his words. He wants to meet her? Hmph, dream on!

She looked out the window and her gaze fell on the sunbathing Seraphina in the courtyard. She involuntarily clutched the phone tighter.

Hearing no response from the other end, Joe tried again. Miss Seraphina, are you there?

I’m busy. Please don’t call me again.” Then, Linara hung up the phone without waiting for his reply.

He stared at the black screen in confusion. He felt the person he talked to was acting strange. He sent a sincere text message instead of calling again.

Linara was leaving the room when she heard the notification. She returned to the bedside, unlocked the phone, and deleted the message.

After deleting it, a thought flashed through her mind.

Her lips curled up as she typed a message.

After hitting send, she deleted the conversation and blocked the number.

Lastly, she left the room in high spirits.

Meanwhile, Andrew exited his office with a briefcase. He approached Joe’s desk and demanded an update. Any news?
