Chapter 245 Family Gathering
Does Linara think I can’t hold her accountable even if I discover her wrongdoing because there were no surveillance cameras? How naive! I don’t need evidence to deal with her! My previous life said enough
about her character!
Seraphina put down her phone and stretched lazily as if she hadn’t moved for a long time.
She pulled a drawer and took a packet of white powder from the compartment. She threw the packet up and caught it again on her palm.
At 2:15 p.m., Chloe’s relatives, including the relatives, from the Kennedy Family visited the Whitewood Estate.
The Whitewood Family had a tradition of gathering relatives of the Whitewood Family and Kennedy Family two days before New Year’s Eve. The gathering of the Kennedy Family was on the first day while the Whitewood Family was on the second day.
After that, Oberon would be busily entertaining his business partners or various authoritative figures. He had no free time for his relatives.
The visitors today were from the Kennedy Family. In the afternoon, cars kept emerging in the courtyard. There weren’t many luxury cars, but there were quite a few mid to high–end cars.
Even though the Kennedy Group was Chloe’s family business, it had been declining year by year since it fell into the hands of her eldest brother.
In the past, the Kennedy Family was wealthier than the Whitewood Family, and Oberon had to act cautious around his in–laws. But now, everything had changed. The Kennedy Family had to be careful not to offend him.
When Seraphina came downstairs, her presence amazed the ladies in the living room. The people who had been surrounding Linara immediately swarmed Seraphina and showered her with flattering words.
“Seraphina, do you remember me? I unfortunately didn’t get to see you on your last birthday because I was abroad. It’s good to finally meet you in the flesh! By the way, my son also came today. You haven’t met him, have you?” Margaret, one of Seraphina’s aunts, overwhelmed her
with words.
“Ha! Speak of the devil! Here comes my son!” Margaret shouted at the young man entering the room, “Rowan, come and meet Seraphina!”
Rowan walked into the living room. His eyes widened when he spotted Seraphina.
Before he could say something, he saw her shaking her head.

Margaret proudly told her relatives, “Rowan has made a lot of money in the stock market recently.”
Some people couldn’t stand her smug grin and mocked, “Really? Is he better than the ‘Stock Whiz‘? I heard the ‘Stock Whiz‘ is something. Whatever stock they buy rises.”
The provocation failed to wipe the smug grin off Margaret’s face. Instead, it grew wider on her face. She giggled. “Truth be told, the ‘Stock Whiz‘ is none other than Rowan. I think people call him that at the beginning only to tease him. Who would’ve known the others would take it seriously?”
Lately, Margaret was over the moon. She was pleased to show off her son’s achievement to her relatives.
Pamela, who retorted earlier, was left speechless and frustrated.
The other relatives began to praise Rowan, exaggerating his abilities. Feeling embarrassed, Rowan stole glances at Seraphina, knowing the glory should belong to her.
Margaret pushed him toward Seraphina. “You young people should hang out together.”
Rowan whispered to Linara, “Shall we go, Linara?”
