The Abandoned Heiress Reborn to Be Cherished (Seraphina) novel Chapter 80

Chapter 80 A Plagiarized Design

In her previous life, the couch had been exposed as a plagiarized copy of Emil Castillon’s design. To protect Aidan’s reputation, the Whitewoods had pinned the blame on Seraphina, claiming she had designed it.

While the upper class knew the truth, the online masses did not. Linara had taken the story to social media, triggering a wave of public outrage. Seraphina endured relentless cyberbullying, harassment, and even physical threats. Strangers followed her, and one person went so far as to throw acid at her. Thankfully, her quick reflexes saved her, but the close call left a lasting scar.

Even then, the Whitewoods didn’t come to her defense. Instead, they blamed her for causing trouble and tarnishing their reputation. They never considered who was truly at fault.

Was it she who plagiarized? Was it she who embarrassed the family?

The answer didn’t matter to them. Oberon and Chloe simply didn’t care about Seraphina. Her feelings, her safety, her very existence-they were all disposable to them. Sacrificing her was easy because she didn’t

matter.

Now, Seraphina’s gaze lingered on Aidan as she spoke coldly. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep your secret safe. After all, if you look bad, it reflects on me too. You bear the Whitewood name now, and I don’t want you tarnishing it or bringing shame to my father’s company.”

Her sharp eyes flicked briefly toward the doorway before returning to Aidan.

Standing at the door, Oberon had heard every word. A satisfied smile spread across his face as he entered

the room.

“You two have already met, so I don’t need to introduce you,” Oberon said warmly. “Aidan, take care of Seraphina. She’s been through a lot, and as her brother, it’s your responsibility to protect her and make sure no one bullies her.”

Aidan’s eyes darkened as he looked at his father. It was clear to him that Oberon’s concern was entirely focused on Seraphina, leaving no space for Linara-the daughter who had called him “Dad” for 16 years. His heart ached for Linara, imagining the pain she must have felt facing such favoritism over the past few

weeks.

With a faint sneer, he retorted, “She seems capable enough. I don’t think she needs my help. I’ll check

on Linara.”

Oberon’s face flashed with irritation, but he quickly brushed it off. “Seraphina, you’re the most understanding one here. Don’t let his words bother you.”

Seraphina’s lips curved into a faint smile, but her tone was laced with sarcasm. “It’s so inspiring to see how close my brother and sister are. Honestly, they’re so inseparable that they almost look like a couple.”

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Oberon shot her a sharp glare.

Is it? Nonsense or not, the truth will come out eventually, Seraphina mused.

At dinner, the table was filled with dishes tailored to Aidan’s tastes. The atmosphere was lively, with Aidan

and Linara bantering and making Oberon and Chloe laugh. The warmth around the table excluded Seraphina entirely.

She sat in silence, eating her meal while watching the so-called family’s cheerful conversation. Her presence was that of an outsider-unacknowledged and unwelcome.

Jasmine, standing by the side, noticed the disparity and felt a pang of sympathy for Seraphina.
