Chapter 88 Sticking to Her Choice
Accompany the performance?
Seraphina had been inclined to refuse. However…
Her gaze fell on Evelyn beside her, who was appearing devastated. She sighed softly and agreed. “Alright.”
Michael finally relaxed. “Thank you so much. Where are you right now?”
“At the Zone C entrance. You’ll need to send someone to escort me.”
“No problem.”
Seraphina handed the phone back to Evelyn. “No need to call your uncle now.”

Within minutes, a staff member arrived and spoke briefly with the ticket inspector, allowing both of them to enter.
“What’s going on?” Evelyn asked curiously.
“They’re short a pianist for the performance, and they’ve asked me to step in,” Seraphina explained.
Evelyn’s excitement was immediate. She grabbed Seraphina’s hand tightly. “Does this mean you’ll get to meet Thomas Foster up close?”
Seraphina nodded.
Evelyn’s eyes lit up with joy. “Seraphina, you’re unbelievably lucky. Your first concert, and you get to meet him up close! What kind of miracle–level luck is this?!”
While Evelyn was over the moon, Seraphina remained indifferent, showing no trace of excitement or joy.
When they arrived backstage, a staff member stopped them apologetically. “Miss Valewyn, the backstage area is restricted to staff only. I’ll need to take your friend to the main seating area to
watch the concert.”
Evelyn looked slightly disappointed but didn’t insist on staying. “Go on, Seraphina. If you see Thomas, get me his autograph, okay? If not, it’s fine.”
“Alright.”
With that, the two parted ways.

Finished
Once inside the bustling backstage area, Seraphina was met with a whirlwind of activity. People hurried back and forth, their movements seeming chaotic yet efficiently coordinated. A staff member escorted her to the innermost dressing room.
“You’re Seraphina Valewyn?” Michael gave her a once–over. To his surprise, the girl standing before him was strikingly beautiful, her refined features perfect for the entertainment industry.
“Yes, that’s me,” Seraphina confirmed.
“Can you play Chopin’s Nocturne in C–sharp minor? The same piece you played in the piano room at Bloomington School two weeks ago.”
Without replying, Seraphina walked to the piano, sat down, and placed her elegant fingers on the black–and–white keys. As her fingers moved, the room was filled with a gentle, flowing melody. The notes carried a serene and tranquil quality that seemed to calm the bustling energy of the room. Gradually, those present slowed their movements, their tense expressions softening.
This is it. This is the music!
