Madelyn kept reading that message for a long while but didn't reply. 

She knew that Benjamin had some feelings for her, but it was too unreliable. Because Eleanor still held a place in his heart which had crossed Madelyn's boundaries.These are something that she couldn't overlook. 

He had gotten her too easily.

After tidying up a bit, she left her office, preparing to pick up Everest. 

The bouquet of flowers that Benjamin had sent was left behind.

Five minutes later, Charlotte and her classmate Faith entered the reception room on the ground floor. 

They looked at the incredibly spacious and luxurious room, feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Faith even tugged at Charlotte's sleeve and whispered, "Let's just forget it! I don't think Mrs. Clark is someone we can mess with!"

Madelyn sat on the couch and Gloria brought her a cup of coffee.

"But what did that matter? I'm younger than her!" Charlotte thought inwardly. 

Charlotte chose not to sit down with dignity and instead placed a stack of money on the coffee table. 

"Mrs. Clark, I'm here to return the money!" 

"Mr. Clark paid me fifty thousand dollars for my medical expenses and there is an excess of over ten thousand dollars. I think I should return it to you!"

Madelyn listened to her for a long time while sipping her coffee.
