Rise from Ashes: Her Epic Comeback novel Chapter 3

Flavia had no time to mourn her lost babies, as she lay on the blood-soaked floor, another wave of pain hitting her hard. The pain was too familiar, just like the contractions she had before giving birth.

She touched her belly and something felt off. Could it be, she still had a baby inside her?-

Flavia’s eyes popped wide open. There was no time to waste, she pushed hard and blood gushed out again.

Wave after wave of excruciating pain hit her. Flavia would have passed out long ago if it weren't for some inner strength. But she knew, she couldn't pass out. If she did, the baby inside her would suffocate.

She bit down hard on her tongue. She bit it until it bled, only then did she feel a little alert.

A faint cry rang out.

Tears filled Flavia’s eyes immediately. With great effort, she propped up her upper body to see...

Two babies! She had given birth to quadruplets!

No wonder her belly was so big! No wonder her appetite grew bigger every day!

She was carrying four babies!

But the two babies she gave birth to earlier were gone. If Mellisa had gotten those two babies to the hospital in time, they would have definitely survived.

Flavia had never hated her beloved sister as much as she did now.

Eight months ago when she was locked up here, she felt like it was her rightful punishment for being a disgrace to the family.

But now she knew, it was all a conspiracy. Mellisa was willing to go this far in order to take her place as the Sanders family heir.

Flavia was filled with rage, from that moment she vowed, she would not let the Sanders family off the hook!

Flavia struggled to crawl over to her two babies, they were a boy and a girl. They were covered in blood, but their beautiful eyes were still visible. These were her precious babies, and she would protect them with her life.

Flavia carefully cradled her babies in her arms.

Suddenly, she felt a wave of heat. She looked up and saw flames at the entrance of the warehouse where she was held captive. The merciless fire began to spread through the cracks in the door and the furniture near the door caught fire.

"No... Is anyone there! Fire! Help!"

Flavia banged on the door like a madwoman.

There was no response from outside. In that moment, she understood. This fire. It was set on purpose!

Mellisa indirectly caused the death of her babies, and now she wanted to burn her alive!

The majority of the Sanders Group's shares were Flavia’s. As long as Flavia was alive, she would always be the largest shareholder of the Sanders Group, and Mellisa couldn't secure her position as the heir.

So, Flavia had to die. A difficult childbirth, heavy bleeding, and now a fire, her death seemed justifiable.

Flavia was forced into a corner by the flames. The two babies in her arms sucked on their fingers, oblivious to the impending danger.
