Tony and Eason stood just a few feet away, their eyes misting over as they watched the heartfelt reunion.
Cordelia turned to them, her voice firm with resolve. "Guys, I'm getting my mom out of here. That fake Alana wouldn't dare call the cops. If she does, her whole scheme will blow up."
Eason nodded. "Yeah, this is no place for anyone. Alana's a real piece of work."
Tony thought for a moment before adding, "It's about time her dirty tricks come to light. She needs to be exposed."
The trio sprang into action. They got the real Alana out and rushed Seth to the hospital. The caretaker, seeing she was outnumbered, quickly sent a message to Alana, including a photo she'd snapped of Cordelia's silhouette earlier.
"Miss South, today Tony came with his son and future daughter-in-law to visit Mr. South. They went upstairs and then, they forcibly took Mr. South to the hospital and got the woman upstairs out!"
Alana and Samantha were vacationing in the Maldives.
Seeing the message, Alana panicked for a split second but quickly regained her composure. She showed Samantha the photo of Cordelia.
"Do you think this silhouette is Cordelia?" Alana asked.
Samantha zoomed in for a closer look. "It is."
Alana clenched her teeth. "So, they've been in touch all along, and I let my guard down. It seems the old man must have given Cordelia the password."
After speaking, Alana lay back on her beach chair, soaking up the sun as she pondered her next move.
"Did Tony say what this girl's name is?"
"They said it's Simone."
"Simone, huh? Quite a casual alias. Simone and Eason..." Alana's lips twisted slightly as she mentioned Eason. "A couple's names, maybe?"
Alana burst into laughter.
Samantha glanced at her sideways, wondering if it was her imagination, but she felt Alana's laughter carried a hint of sadness.
