Daniella's drone was finally ready to take flight. She tried to figure out what Janice might be thinking, assuming that Janice still saw her as the outsider trying to fit in. Showing up personally to deliver the drone wouldn't help change Janice's mind; it might even make things worse. So, Daniella decided it would be smarter to have someone else deliver it. Later, Ronan could put in a good word about her tech skills, hopefully improving Janice's opinion of her. Plus, not seeing her in person would prevent any negative impressions from deepening.
After some thought, Daniella reluctantly decided to ask Emerson for help. He was the best choice since he had Ronan’s ear. With her decision made, she sent Emerson a message: "Mr. Emerson, could you do me a favor?"
Emerson was busy in his office, having just signed off on a report his assistant had given him. Seeing Daniella's message piqued his interest.
Her tone had changed. From calling him 'uncle' and 'old geezer' to 'Mr. Emerson.' What had happened? What had she gone through?
Time to find out!
"What do you need?" he replied.
"When can you swing by my company? I need a favor," Daniella texted back.
"Mixing business with pleasure? Our companies haven't shown any interest in partnering yet," Emerson replied, trying to guess why her attitude had shifted so suddenly.
"Oh, come on, just stop by, will you? Pretty please~~" Daniella added, playing coy.
"Send me the location," Emerson responded.
"Thank you, Mr. Colby. Love ya~~" Daniella wrote.
Even though Emerson knew "love ya" was just casual lingo among the younger crowd, he couldn't help but dwell on it a little.
When delivering materials to Ronan, he mentioned, "Hey, bro, Daniella invited me to her company."
"That's good, making progress. But remember, the main goal is meeting her dad," Ronan said.
