A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 392

The sound was earth-shattering!

Matilda shuddered all over and looked up to see Logan standing outside the crowd, clutching a revolver in his small hands. Despite being only about five or six years old, his eyes were filled with a fierce determination. He held the gun steady, not blinking, his gaze fixed intently on Matilda and the people surrounding her.

The group suddenly felt as though they were prey under the watchful eye of a predator. Logan's aura was as intimidating as any member of the Jungle Union!

Esme let out a shrill scream, "Grab that brat for me!"

Playing tricks, huh? Who'd be afraid of a kid! That shot was just for show, a mere child, just a...

Before she could finish her thought, a bullet grazed her cheek, leaving a burning trail of blood, the recoil causing her eardrum to throb with pain!

"Ah!!" Esme bent over, clutching her face. It felt as though half her ear had been struck off, the bullet skimming her cheek before burying itself into the wall behind her, leaving a mocking dark hole as if laughing at her naivety!

This child could fire a gun, and he was accurate!

Logan spoke slowly, each word dripping with an icy threat, his eyes mirroring the furious glint usually seen in Yvan. "Say it again, leave or die!"

A mere child, wielding such a deadly aura!

He gripped the gun, his face pale but his eyes sharp, focusing on Esme, his voice youthful yet chilling, "Consider this a warning. Next time, it won't just be beside your face!"

For the first time, Esme felt a pressure from a child that she had only ever felt from Hadrian. Enraged, she covered half of her face, blood seeping through her fingers, "Catch him! Kill that little monster!"

The word 'monster' hit a nerve in Logan, prompting him to load his gun again, facing the crowd with the barrel pointed at Esme, "Make a move, and I'll shoot Esme. Guess what's faster, your feet or my bullet?!"
