A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 417

Logan and Adrian had just finished a marathon hotpot session that lasted a whole two hours. By the end, both of them sprawled on the couch, patting their bellies and staring blankly at the still bubbling hotpot broth.

Logan burped, took a deep breath, and finally caught his breath, "I'm stuffed..."

"Me too..." Adrian lounged there like an old man, stretching his legs out under the table, "Haven't eaten this much in ages. Let's take a walk later, I'll drop you off at your mom's place."

Logan grinned, "You've already bought me plenty of stuff."

"It's nothing," Adrian waved it off, "Just a few outfits, no big deal."

Logan, propping his chin up, eyed Adrian, "Are you trying to win over my mom?"

Adrian didn't even pause before responding, "Yeah, totally, think about it every day."

"..." Logan sighed, "My mom's got amnesia right now. Maybe when she remembers you, you can try again."

"My original plan was to wait for the right moment to make my move."

Adrian idly poked around with his chopsticks, "Too bad, my advances were rejected by your mom."

"My mom also turned down Yvan." Logan blinked, "She's not interested in dating right now."

"So, you're hinting that I might still have a chance in the future?"

Adrian winked back at Logan, "Let's wait until your mom gets out of the hospital. I've heard she's not been very stable lately..."

"Right."

Speaking of which, Logan suddenly became serious, "Adrian, there's something I need to ask for your help with."

Adrian froze.
