Yvan felt a sharp pang in his heart, as if struck by a sudden blow, his heart tightening. "Who are you talking about?"
"Yvan, she... she is our daughter from all those years ago... She really is our daughter..."
Rachel, sitting in her wheelchair, looked visibly panicked, clutching her daughter's hand. "I didn't mean to keep it from you. I was afraid you wouldn't accept her..."
The same excuse as before.
Yvan looked at Rachel, then turned away. After a moment, he said, "Come in."
A smile spread across Rachel's face as the servant wheeled her into Yvan's mansion, a place she had never been before. She had heard rumors about Yvan bringing a woman here for a night, and the thought ignited a wild jealousy within her.
That woman was Matilda.
But it didn't matter now. She was back, and everything was still in her control. Rachel reassured herself not to panic. Matilda was no threat...
"What's your name?" Yvan asked, leading them into the mansion and turning to face the girl behind him. The young girl answered timidly, "Lynn Boyd..."
Yvan remained silent for a moment before saying, "You'll stay here tonight. Tomorrow, we're going to the hospital."
Rachel's face paled at the mention of the hospital. "The hospital? Why all of a sudden?"
"We need to do a DNA test."
