A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 569

The room fell into a silence as grave as death itself.

It was only after a moment that Yvan managed to gather his thoughts. The truth about their real identities had been glaring them in the face for so long, yet they had been completely oblivious.

And the first to stumble upon the truth... was Logan.

Logan's voice trembled, "Is it true? Hadrian, did you start digging into my mom's past right from the start? You knew my mom was part of the Jungle Union, didn't you? And then you had someone erase her records because you were afraid of this getting out."

R7CKY had already hinted at it, the evidence of tampering in his and Matilda's records. It must have been to hide the fact that Matilda was associated with the Jungle Union, fearing the day her connection would drag her into their turmoil.

But they were too late...

Chad had already found out, which is why he was hell-bent on getting rid of Matilda. Her very existence was a threat to him.

Hadrian's fingers trembled violently, as if he was struggling to say so much more. Logan watched his hands closely, "What are you trying to say? What else don't we know?"

But Hadrian simply moved his fingers, his eyes shut tight, showing no signs of coming back to consciousness.

Eventually, Logan gave up. Yvan, rubbing his temples, said, "This is tough. If we could just get Hadrian out of here, take him to another hospital, maybe then we could try to revive him."

He glanced over the equipment in the room. It was clear there was no effort being made to actually treat Hadrian, just enough to keep him alive. That must have been Chad's doing, hoping Hadrian would remain in a vegetative state for life.

"If we could transport Hadrian out, then we could find better doctors to give him a thorough examination, and maybe there would be a chance to wake him up."

"So here's the million-dollar question."

Declan looked at Yvan, "How do we get Hadrian out of here?"
