A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 601

The little boy's voice was youthful but resolute, "We went through a lot of trouble to get you out of that military hospital. You were in a vegetative state, but I think you could hear me."

Hadrian remained silent, looking into Logan's eyes, finding them filled with too many emotions, far beyond what a child his age should possess.

A child of merely five or six, yet with a strategic mind almost eerily beyond his years, it was a story no one would believe.

Who turned him into this... this prodigy... or perhaps, this monster?

Was it this harsh, unforgiving world that forced Logan to mature so rapidly? Yvan knew all too well that he was partly to blame for shaping him into what he had become.

Logan looked straight at Hadrian, "I hope you recover soon. Jungle Union needs you back in charge."

The first thing Hadrian did upon regaining consciousness was to send a message back to Jungle Union, declaring he was still alive! Some were too eager to step into his shoes, but he would deal with them one by one upon his return.

Chad turned ashen upon hearing the news of Hadrian's recovery, "What's going on? Wasn't it foolproof? Wasn't he supposed to be bedridden for life? How did he suddenly wake up?"

"Mr. Crowe, our... our intelligence was flawed..."

"Get out! You're all worthless!"

Chad kicked one of his men away, while his mother, Esme, was also visibly distressed, "Chad, what are we going to do now? You said there would be no problems. I was looking forward to you taking over Jungle Union and crushing Orson beneath your feet..."

"Orson... Orson was rescued too!"

Chad smashed a vase to the ground in anger, "Damn it, I'm going to find out who in the world has the guts to do this!"
