A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 602

Hadrian spent two days rounding up all those who spread rumors about Mr. Crowe's uncertain fate in the Jungle Union, dealing a significant blow to Chad's ranks.

Orson was still under hospital observation, and Hadrian wasn't fully mobile yet. That day, Yvan came to see Hadrian, discussing their plans regarding Chad. Aside from that, Yvan's demeanor was ice-cold, making it clear that to him, Hadrian was nothing more than a means to an end.

The Jungle Union and the Boyd family had always been allies, but that was it. Now, the Union was divided: one faction loyal to Chad, the other to Hadrian. On the surface, peace prevailed, but if Hadrian wanted to regain full control over the Union, he needed Yvan's support.

After their talk, Yvan stood up, his manners impeccable as always, the very picture of a high-society gentleman from Sea City. He nodded to Hadrian, "Thank you for lending a hand, Mr. Crowe."

"Yvan."

As Yvan turned to leave, Hadrian couldn't help but call out.

Yvan stopped, meeting Hadrian's gaze with a slight squint, "Is there something else, Mr. Crowe?"

Hadrian cleared his throat, "Yvan, about Logan..."

What he wanted to ask was whether Yvan planned to take Logan back, to reintegrate him into the Boyd family, given Jungle Union's shady status. But Yvan's response was detached, "It's up to him."

If Logan wanted to return, he was always welcome; if he chose to carve his own path with the Union, Yvan would support him.

No matter what, he wouldn't stand in his way.
