A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 691

Yvan couldn't help but chuckle at the word "instinct" coming from Logan. It amused him and intrigued him at the same time. So, he asked the boy, "How can you tell it's me without seeing my face?"

"It's just a gut feeling," Logan replied vaguely, silently adding to himself that it was the intuition shared between father and son.

However, Yvan, standing before him, seemed to have fragmented memories and couldn't recall that Logan was his son.

Yvan indeed didn't remember, but his heart softened inexplicably when Logan turned around to greet him. It felt familiar, as if he had known this little boy for a long time.

"Have we met before?" Yvan blurted out involuntarily.

Logan paused, then whispered, "Maybe we have, in a way that's beyond our understanding."

Hearing Logan speak in such a mysterious manner made Yvan laugh, "You're quite the character."

Indeed, Matilda was interesting, and so was her son.

Suddenly, Yvan felt an urge to investigate Matilda's ex-husband, instinctively believing that the boy's father must have been no ordinary man. How did he die? What led to his death?

Noticing Yvan deep in thought, Logan asked casually, "Did you come to Zach Country for a reason?"

Yvan's lips curled into a meaningful smile, "Yeah, to meet an old friend."
