A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 692

After that, Logan stopped trying to get Yvan's attention. Maybe sharing a flight was a kind of serendipity. The young boy waited with a mix of excitement and nervousness until the plane landed. Yvan, as usual, donned his hat and mask, following them out through the VIP exit. He was so bundled up that many mistook him for a celebrity sneaking back into the country, snapping pictures of his silhouette from behind.

Beside Yvan was a man with all his hair tucked into a beret. Logan recognized him instantly as the white-haired man who had been standing next to Yvan before. He probably covered his hair to avoid startling the average passerby.

They were all wrapped up tight, not a sliver of skin showing, looking every bit the mysterious public figures. Only Logan watched their figures with a smirk, content in the moment.

It was nice, he thought, even without recognition, to share the same space and breathe the same air from such a close distance.

Perhaps the truth would come out eventually, and all he had to do was wait.

...

On the ride back, Yvan watched as Carl drove, picking up Matilda and Logan. Adrian hopped in too, leaving Yvan speechless in frustration. In the parking garage, he stared at the car for a long while. Lance laughed beside him, "What's up?"

"Jealous, can't you tell?" Yvan responded with a frown. Keaton, who had come to pick them up, waved at them from a distance, "Finally arrived, huh?"

"What's with the lackluster greeting?"

As Keaton approached, Yvan complained, "You come alone and empty-handed. Lance and I have been away from Zach Country for so long, and not even a little welcome ceremony?"

"Ha, what did you expect? A marching band and fireworks? Maybe a parade of flags and a red carpet?" Keaton chuckled, grabbing Yvan's luggage, "Geez, this much stuff, planning to settle down?"
