A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 694

Lance nearly spat out his tea, clutching his throat as he coughed. "Keaton, do you and your brother spend all your time trash-talking me?"

Keaton chuckled, "What, were you expecting compliments?"

Lance rolled his eyes. "Please, like anything nice could come out of that mouth of yours. It's like expecting a dog to spit out pearls."

Lance was a strikingly handsome man, especially when he smiled, his eyes twinkling mischievously, almost like a charming trickster. This created a stunning contrast next to Yvan, who carried an aura of mysterious allure. The young housemaids in the living room couldn’t help but blush and steal glances at the four men, whispering among themselves about their incredible good looks.

Later, Keaton, with a smirk, asked Yvan if he wanted to go out for a drink. Yvan, once a connoisseur of nightlife, surprisingly shook his head this time.

Keaton asked, "Why not?"

Yvan said, "I'm thinking of finding Matilda first. I saw her chatting with Adrian the whole flight, and they left the airport together. I'm a bit worried."

Everyone sighed internally, thinking, "Damn, this has got to be some twisted fate. Memory loss and he's still after his ex-wife!"

...

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Rachel was wheeled into the VIP section of the hospital, her complexion worse for wear. Learning that her hired muscle had been taken down, her mood darkened even further.

"Damn it, Matilda always was too lucky," she thought bitterly. Rachel had assumed Matilda would be vulnerable abroad, without support. Yet, someone had unexpectedly intervened, throwing Rachel's plans into disarray.
