A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 735

Chase sighed inwardly, choosing not to voice his thoughts.

He couldn't help but feel it was such a shame about Matilda and Yvan, yet as bystanders, they couldn't intervene in their romance.

Then Mark took the initiative, preparing some comfort food for Matilda, and served her a bowl of chicken soup with dumplings, "Eat up. If the past is too painful to think about, then don't."

Chase always found Mark a bit unsettling.

He resembled the old Yvan too closely—stoic, composed, and with an air of detached elegance.

This thought made Chase anxious. If Matilda was truly moving on, what would happen to Yvan now?

Midway through their dinner, a commotion could be heard from outside, "Sir, please wait. This room is already occupied. It wouldn't be appropriate for you to enter."

That familiar voice responded, "Move aside, I'm also their friend!"

As the door swung open, Matilda's fork clattered onto the table with a sharp sound.

Yvan stood there, his arrival evidently rushed, hair slightly tousled. Yet, this disheveled look only added to his rebellious allure, reminiscent of those heartthrobs in TV dramas with their stunning looks and wild charm. He stood at the doorway, leaving Chase speechless.

"Yvan, how did you...?" find us here?

Yvan smiled fiercely, word by word, "Chase, long time no see. Not going to invite me for dinner?"

The audacity of this guy! Clearly, his intention was to sit down next to Matilda!

Catching his buddy's desperate glance, Chase managed to swallow his discomfort and squeezed out an awkward smile, "Ah, what a coincidence you're here too? Come on in, the more the merrier, haha…"
