Logan's enrollment process was a breeze. With his own merit, he landed a spot at Whty City's top high school, a fact that Matilda couldn't wait to share with the family. Chloe and Godfrey's jaws dropped in disbelief.
"Oh my gosh, we've got a genius hiding among us..." Chloe was even more excited than Matilda. "I'm bursting with pride! Logan, how did you keep this under wraps, huh?!"
Logan just winked and tried to look adorable as he teased, "That just shows you don't pay enough attention to me, hmph."
"That's not true," Chloe, ever the child at heart, easily slipped into playful banter with Logan. "You're my favorite, okay?"
Logan's grin widened, his demeanor reminiscent of Yvan's cheeky charm, with a hint of their father's mischievousness in his eyes and voice. "Hear that, Godfrey?"
This time, Godfrey mimicked Logan's earlier tone of mock distress, "Just yesterday, you promised to treat me right, and today, it's all about Logan. Ah, the lies women tell."
"Jealous of a kid, really?"
Chloe turned to swat at Godfrey, "Enough! Both of you are my favorites, one's my boy and the other's my man. Happy?"
It was only then that Logan and Godfrey nodded in agreement, "Fine, that's acceptable."
The next day, as Logan prepared for his first day in high school, Matilda woke up early to make sure they both looked presentable. She couldn't let them show up looking anything less than their best.
Chloe was up early too. As Matilda was applying her lipstick, Chloe barged in, "How do these boots look for today?"
Matilda chuckled, "You're coming too?"
