Yvan arrived at the prestigious Grand River Academy an hour later.
When they saw him, both Matilda and Logan's eyes widened in amazement. The little boy was so stunned he couldn't even react, watching Yvan make an entrance like a Hollywood superstar, radiating a powerful aura with his handsome features and his assistant Carl trailing behind him, step by step approaching their view.
With each step, Logan's heart raced even faster.
“You…”
It wasn't until Yvan stood still in front of Logan, and Matilda turned pale on the side, that they found themselves at a loss for words, simply staring as Yvan made his way to the principal's office, standing next to Logan.
The principal, adjusting his glasses, took a look and thought, hmm, this dashing young man looks somewhat familiar.
Another look and—holy cow! Isn't this Mr. Boyd from the famed Sea City? What's he doing in their school?!
The principal nearly toppled over from behind his desk, pushing his glasses up again as cold sweat broke out, "Mr. Boyd—what brings you to our school?"
Yvan glanced at Logan and said, "Switching schools and you didn’t even tell me."
Seeing Yvan here stirred a whirlwind of emotions in Logan—joy and sorrow intertwined. With a trembling voice, he managed to say, "I thought we didn’t want to see each other again."
Yvan sighed with a reluctant smile, reaching out to ruffle Logan's hair, “Why would you think that? How could I ever not want you guys?”
Logan felt a lump in his throat, “You left us because you didn’t need mom and me anymore. You went back to take over the Boyd Group, and we just... stepped out of your life so as not to bother you…”
