Forced Marriage To The Secret Billionaire novel Chapter 16

AUTHOR'S POV

He was groping her again. His filthy lips and teeth were nibbling on the soft skin of her neck as she screamed her lungs out in fear.

No one was there to stop him.

She was crying out for help as he ripped her clothes apart and smiled sinisterly at her. She had never felt this scared in her whole life.

“ Sara! ” Then a voice invaded her senses and the scene changed in front of her eyes.

There was only darkness surrounding her now. And a voice was calling out to her in that darkness. She looked around herself to find the source of the voice when the voice called out to her again.

“ Sara ” The voice made her calm down unconsciously.

Blinking her eyes open, Sara found Silas leaning over her. It took her a moment to understand what was happening due to the killer headache she was experiencing.

Her hands shot out to hold his arm on their own and she sighed out in relief. He was real.

Silas Alexander was really here with her and it was not just a part of the dream.

Relief washed over her. Closing her eyes, she gulped down her saliva. Her throat was hurting badly but she couldn't care less about it.

“ W-Water. ” Sara croaked out and opened her eyes to find him close once more.

His hand was gently caressing her cheek and pushing the hair behind her ears. Hearing her asking for water, he leaned a little away and Sara pulled him back again.

Her hold on his arm was deadly strong. She didn't want him to go and leave her alone.

No.

She saw the same memories playing out in front of her eyes again and again when she was alone.

“ I am not going anywhere. ” He patted her hand lightly and Sara took notice of the smile gracing his lips.

Reluctantly, she forced herself to leave his arm. Taking this chance, Silas poured some water in the glass from the jug placed on the side table as Sara kept her eyes fixed at him.

He still looked tired. He didn't sleep? She wondered in her mind but couldn't bring herself to ask.

Surprisingly, she felt worried for him. If he didn't take rest, he was going to fall sick and she, in no way, was going to look after him at all.

It was not because she wouldn't want to look after him. It was because she didn't know how to look after someone or care for them.

She was unaware of anything of that sort.

Silas placed the water filled glass on the side table and leaned forward to help her up. Her fever was down but he was sure that she felt weakness as she didn't eat anything for a whole day.

Sara's trance broke when he pulled her up with him and fixed some pillows behind her back to support her.

Why was he taking care of her? Sara tried to search for the answer in his eyes but she was never good at reading eyes.

Shaking her head, Sara let him help her drink the water. Her eyes still denied to look anywhere other than him.

His presence helped her pushing every single horrible memory out of her mind and she didn't know why.

What was it about Silas Alexander?

“ You were burning up with fever when I came home last night. ” Silas revealed to her and brushed her bangs off her forehead once more.

Placing his hand on her forehead, he checked for fever but it was really down. A sigh of relief escaped his lips and he pulled his back.

He was worried sick the whole night. He couldn't sleep for a moment as he sat by her side and tried his best to bring her fever down.

“ You looked after me? ” Sara choked out in a weird tone.

Her eyes narrowed down on him as she tried to understand the man sitting in front of her.

No one. No one had ever tried to look after her before. This was the first time she woke up with someone peering down at her so worriedly after her mother died.

This felt strange.

A warm feeling made her heart beat faster than usual.
