Forced Marriage To The Secret Billionaire novel Chapter 15

AUTHOR'S POV

Sara's mind kept repeating the same thing over and over again.

I am alright.

I am fine.

I am going to be alright.

She could still see the crimson red blood on her hands when her mind knew that it was not there anymore. Her mind was making her see things that were not there to begin with.

The whole day...

She spent the whole day sitting in her room. No matter what happened in her life, she never locked herself like this. But again, she had never killed someone before. Her mind was having a hard time moving past that moment in her life.

She could still feel his filthy touch all over her body. Her body tingled with disgust. Was this what people like Gabriel did to the weak?

When that Gabriel found out that Sara was not backed and favored by Grandfather Magnus, he pounced on her like an animal wanting her to succumb to him either by choice or by force.

This thought was enough to make bile rise up in her throat for the nth time.

Sara's vision was blurred. Not because of tears but due to the pressure that she felt behind her eyes. Her body was burning too.

The day eventually turned into night. She didn't eat anything, didn't go out of the room or didn't find the courage to face Silas again.

Even if he never asked her any questions or accused her, he must have been hurt after seeing the marks on her neck. What if he had made some assumptions of his own? This thought alone was heavy on all other poisonous thoughts.

After her back started aching badly along with her whole body, Sara forced herself to stand up. Her hands instantly shot up to hold her head that was spinning badly. Searing and white hot headache made her head feel like a truck ran over it. She felt sick. Maybe, she was sick

But who cared?

Sara made her way to the bed and dropped down on it without bothering to call anyone or tell anyone that she was sick. No one was coming anyway. No one had ever come to look after her. Not after her mother died atleast.

The only person who wanted to come look after her was her father and he was the only person, Sara never allowed to stay near her. That man made her feel even more sick if she was already sick.

Closing her eyes, Sara sighed out as she tried her hardest to push all emotions at the back of her mind.

She didn't want to think about what happened last night.

She didn't want to think about what happened years ago.

To do this, she needed to fall asleep. She wanted to escape from reality, even if it was for just a while. Even a moment was fine if she got the chance to completely forget everything.

Thinking about all of this, Sara didn't know when the pain in her body intensified and she slipped out of consciousness.

**********

Silas came home late in the night. He had been staying out on purpose. He knew Sara wouldn't come out of her room if he was here. He wanted to be with her all the time, but Sara's ego was too big to let him stay near her and he had been much of an asshole to her too.

Silas never forgot to count his own fault in everything.

Perhap, he and Sara were both egoistic.

The only difference between them was the love Silas had for Sara. He loved her but she hated him.

Silas heaved a heavy breath and glanced up from the living room. Just as he expected, she never came out of her room.

Giving up on being nice to her and giving her a little space of her own, he climbed up the stairs and headed straight to her room. It was enough.

It was not her fault. Nothing was her fault. Atleast, not in what happened. Someone set her up and she fell into the trap. That's it.

He stopped outside her room and raised his hand to knock.

One knock and a pause.

The pause was too long.

Silas's eyebrows pulled together to form a frown. He knocked again and with much strength this time.

When Sara still didn't reply or open the door, Silas's heart fell down to the pit of his stomach. Fear gripped his heart all at once.

He knocked again. Louder than before.

Then again.

She didn't open.
