AUTHOR'S POV
Dealing with Silas...was frustrating. That's what Sara thought after hearing him talk non-stop until they finished eating.
From the scenery to the current temperature, he talked about everything. Sara knew, he just wanted her to talk to him but she was too stubborn for that. She just kept listening to him and then went back to bed.
She regretted getting up now. She hated to admit it but every time Silas talked about even the stupidiest of things...
Sara listened to him carefully.
Now as she laid on the bed with her back facing the room, she simply stared at the wooden wall in front of her. The bed was swaying lightly which was causing her some serious anxiety but she was not going to admit it out loud.
Out of a sudden, Sara felt the other side of the bed dipping and she turned around instantly.
“ We won't sleep in the same bed. ” She declared just as her eyes met Silas's figure.
Silas turned to face her before a smile curled up his lips. Leaning closer playfully, he watched as Sara tried her best to not get away from him.
“ Are you afraid you won't be able to resist my charms? ” He teased and noticed Sara's nose turning red.
She opened and closed her mouth repeatedly, her eyes saucer wide. She looked like a baffled cartoon to Silas.
“ No. Way. In. Hell. ” Gritting her teeth, Sara hissed at him as her nose flared.
Sara's hand were clenching the duvet hard. Having him so close was always different. She could always feel the taste of his lips on her own. Sara's heart fluttered as she unconsciously slipped a little away from him.
Silas Alexander was dangerous for her heart.
Silas observed her reaction which made him smile once again. Her eyes which were staring at him defiantly were now fixed on his shirt.
It was enough teasing, Silas thought.
“ I will only stay until you fall asleep. ” Silas whispered and Sara's eyes moved back to rest on his light brown orbs.
Did he know that she was scared of water? Or did he know she was scared of having nightmares once again?
Dragging her tongue across her lips, Sara reluctantly nodded her head in agreement.
“ Close your eyes and sleep now. ” He raised himself up and sat down with his back against the headboard while Sara's eyes followed his movement.
She wanted to say that he couldn't order her around like this but she decided against it. She was grateful to him sometimes...She was grateful because he knew that more words would only cause trouble. He used to do things for her but he acted like he never did anything.
Stealing a glance at him for the last time, Sara closed her eyes and heaved a heavy breath. He did say that he will only stay until she fell asleep but then again...
Why did she trust his words so much? Sara wondered as she scrunched up her nose.
“ Just sleep. Don't think too much. ” Silas's voice startled her before she sighed out and pushed all thoughts aside.
She guess, she would find out how true his words were once she woke up.
