AUTHOR'S POV
Sara stared at the phone in her hand blankly. She couldn't believe it...
That Arrogant bitch hanged up on him.
“ He can go to hell. ” Sara hissed and threw the phone back in her bag.
Everyone in her life was shitty. It was like they all were competing against each other to see who could win this contest of the BIGGEST ASSHOLE.
Sulking, Sara laid down on the sand without a care in the world. When you were doomed, what could mere sand do to you anyway?
Closing her eyes, she rolled around like a child taking advantage of everyone's absence in this part of the beach.
Sighing heavily, she thought about Silas. He would have found out by now that she ran away. This was so unlike her.
What was she doing? This question haunted her once again.
Pushing herself in a sitting position, Sara glanced at her bag thoughtfully.
It was not like she did a crime. He was her husband, her heart reasoned.
' So are you admitting he is your husband? ' Her mind sneered and she didn't know what to do anymore. Her confusion was nothing new.
“ I should go back. ” She stood up to go back, determined to face him.
She wouldn't run away now. She would face everything. She had to.
She had experienced worse things over the past few days and she dealt with all of them. Dealing with Silas wouldn't be so hard.
**********
She stood outside that resort hut and her mind taunted her over and over again.
Dealing with Silas wouldn't be so hard? She was dying due to her heart not wanting to calm the shit down.
Still determined, she made her way inside and headed toward the room. Her nervous eyes took in everything carefully. Everything was as she left it.
Her eyes roamed around the room before they stopped at Silas. He was not wearing any shirt. His legs were dangling down from the bed as he slept with his hand over his eyes.
Sara gulped and froze on her spot. What...now?
The usual answer. She didn't know what to do.
Placing her bag on the table, she walked over to the glass door before pulling the curtains over to let the darkness loom in the room. Silas was clearly being disturbed because of that light hitting his eyes.
“ Sara... ” Silas croaked out and all the muscles in Sara's body stiffened up as her hands still held onto the curtains.
Why did his voice sounded so weak? Dragging her tongue across her lips, she turned around to face him and found him staring at her with his half open eyes.
Worry clouded Sara's mind and she stumbled forward. “ Are you okay? ”
All the embarassment was now gone, replaced with worry. He didn't look that well. His eyes were bloodshot.
“ I... ” He sighed out before placing his hand back over his eyes.
“ I am fine. ” He was clearly lying. His voice was enough to let Sara know that he was not fine.
She walked over to him and leaned down to inspect him closely.
Unconsciously, she pushed her hand forward and touched Silas's arm which he was keeping over his eyes. Her eyes went wide at the contact.
He was burning up.
“ Silas. ” Sara whispered, not knowing what to do in a situation like this.
That's why she was asking him to get outside the water on time. But to think about it, he had to come inside the cold water due her. Sara thought as she nibbled on her lower lip worriedly.
“ Silas. Lay properly on the bed. I am going to call the staff to ask for doctor. ” Sara bent down and grabbed his arm before urging him to get up already.
“ I don't want to. ” He protested and opened his eyes for a moment.
This was so weird. She seemed worried for him. She was ready to support him to the bed.
“ Please Silas. ” Sara insisted and the shocked Silas had to give in to her.
