AUTHOR'S POV
Sara's eyes went wide as Silas's left hand made it's way behind her neck to pull her head closer and his right hand went down to pull her closer by her waist.
He nibbled on her bottom lip, before dragging his warm and soft tongue over it to soothe the ache. Sara sighed against his lips as Silas kissed her softly and deeply.
After a moment, he pulled away and rested his forehead against hers. He watched her red face after opening his eyes and brought his left hand up to brush her hair off her face.
“ Now, we are even. ” He breathed out, his heart beating fast in his chest just like Sara's.
Blinking her eyes open, Sara looked up and her nose touched his, making her gulp.
“ Why do you always do... do this? ” Sara whispered out, confusion taking over her mind as her lips tingled slightly.
“ Do what? ” Silas pushed her hair behind her ear, a smile coming up to rest upon his wet lips.
Do what? Sara asked herself. What was she asking him? She didn't know herself.
What was she so confused about? She gulped down her saliva as her eyes traced his features.
“ Why did you want to kiss me? ” Sara blurted out the first stupid question which came in her mind and seeing Silas's amused reaction, she flinched at her own stupidity.
“ Am I not supposed to want to kiss my wife? Should I kiss other women? ” Silas held his laugh back by biting his lower lip under his teeth.
If Sara was embarrassed before, she wanted to disapear now. Why was everything so weird with Silas? She licked her lips and thought about it.
He was right though. He was not supposed to kiss other women. Sara was unconsciously glaring at Silas while she thought about all of this.
“ Tch. You act so strange sometimes. ” He t'ched dramatically and raised his left hand to rub at her temples. He didn't like those lines on her forehead. He rubbed at it until Sara stopped glaring at him.
“ You are the strange one here. ” Sara mumbled under her breath and pushed his hand away after she regained her rational thinking again.
“ It's late. Go to sleep! ” Sara whispered to him and Silas stepped away from her to give her way.
Sara glanced at him for the last time and rushed out of his room. She sprinted down the corridor until she had reached her room. Opening the door, she stepped inside and locked the door behind her.
“ This man is out to give me a heartattack. ” Sara scoffed to herself as soon as she was in the safety of her own room.
Shaking her head, Sara headed to her closet and washed up before changing into her night clothes. Following her night routine, she turned off the lights and laid down on the bed.
It was already three in the night now and she had to wake up at seven in the morning but sleep was far away from her reach.
She turned and tossed around in her bed unable to fall asleep. Everytime she tried to sleep, all the horrible memories began flashing before her eyes.
The whispers, the voices, the events...
Everything was causing her anxiety.
If she knew she was alone in this house and she couldn't go to anyone to escape this nightmare, she would have been able to fall asleep but now...
She knew Silas was in the room beside her own. Her mind was asking her to escape this nightmare and go to him so she didn't feel scared anymore but her pride was not allowing it.
Fighting with herself for half an hour, Sara finally gave up and sat in her bed staring at the darkness.
“ Screw you, Silas Alexander. ” She sneered loudly and pushed the duvets away before getting down sulkily.
He must be sleeping by now. She would just go to his room and sneakily get in the bed. She would lay at the far corner of his bed and she would wake up before him in the morning....
She made up the whole plan in her mind as she walked toward the door of her own room. Opening the door, she stepped outside and looked around the dark house.
That ungrateful bitch had turned off all lights. Sara felt like hitting him on his head.
She sneakily moved around the corridor and approached his room. Opening his door slowly, she made sure to make no sounds. Her tongue was poking out of her lips as she concentrated on not getting caught.
