AUTHOR'S POV
“ What will become of us? ” Sara asked and turned to face him, her finding their way to his light brown orbs.
“ I don't know. ” Silas breathed out, his heart skipping a beat at the unexpected question.
Sara scrunched up her nose, her eyes narrowing down to glare at him. “ You should have known. ”
A pout rested on her lips after she sighed dramatically and closed her eyes to probably find the answer in her heart.
“ Of course. I should have known. ” Silas muttered to himself and turned over, his eyes fixed at the dark ceiling now.
“ This is so frustrating. ” Sara opened her eyes after a while and stated before copying Silas and turning over to let her back sink in the soft mattress.
“ It is. ” Silas agreed quietly and smiled to himself.
A while ago, he felt so angry at Sara, at himself but all of it was gone now. The thought that Sara might be thinking about their relationship finally was enough for him to feel happy - satisfied.
He was ready to give her all of him if she was even just ready to accept him. He didn't want anything from her. He just wanted her to accept this - their relationship. For now, At least.
“ What are we going to do now? ” Sara asked another unexpected question in a trance.
Silas frowned doubting that she might be sick to be asking these strange questions. She apologized too.
Was there something wrong with her?
He turned to her and pushed his hand forward to rest it on her forehead. He hummed to himself when he found that her forehead was cold as ice.
“ You don’t have fever. Then, what’s wrong with you today? ” He couldn’t help but voice out his confusion because Sara was really scaring him now.
“ You are so dramatic Silas. There is nothing wrong with me. I just… ” Sara faced him and tried to explain but in the end, she ended up sighing out. She didn’t know what she wanted or what she was doing either.
Why was she asking such weird questions out of a sudden? She asked this to herself and no reply came from within.
“ I don’t like what happened earlier Silas. ” She admitted without realizing what she was doing anymore.
For once, she wanted to be just honest with him. She didn’t want a repetition of today. Ever.
Silas stared at Sara without blinking her eyes. Contrary to his expectation, she was thinking too much about what happened earlier.
“ You don’t need to worry. ” Silas assured Sara while he kept his eyes fixed at her.
“ I am not worrying. ” As usual, there was an extent of being honest for Sara. She couldn’t just come out into light and tell everything to Silas.
Unconsciously, she started trusting him. It was the truth. She would never tell him about her past, about her family, about her feelings, about her plans…
…She wouldn’t tell him all of this if she didn’t trust him.
But Sara was scared of trusting someone – someone who was Silas. She was doing it and she couldn’t help it but she didn’t want to do it at the same time.
“ What is it that you want, Silas? Honestly… ” Sara asked the same question to Silas which she had asked when they met in the Café for the first time after that night.
Silas blinked and averted his eyes away from her green orbs. ‘Honestly’. She had really mentioned it. If he lied to her this time, she would never find it in herself to ever trust him.
