AUTHOR’S POV
“ I am pretty sure the hospital is on the opposite way. ” Sara pointed out to Jake who was sitting on the backseat with her.
“ Sir is at home now, Ma’am. ” Jake replied calmly when all Sara had been doing all the time was getting angry at him.
Sara sighed out and looked outside at the trail of trees passing by. Home. Grandfather. She understood it better now.
She was relieved but she was anxious at the same time. She felt sad too. She knew why, this time.
She had all the answers she needed now. There was no confusion left.
She was sad because Grandfather Magnus was dying. No matter how much she despised him or how much that family hurt her, they were still human beings. Death was a sad phenomenon. After a while, Grandfather Magnus will be dead and that family was going to be destroyed. Nothing will be left of them.
By then, Sara too wouldn’t have anyone by her side just like always.
She snapped out of her miserable thoughts when the car slowed down. Lifting her head, she found the huge metal black gate staring back at her.
The gate was opened from inside and the car rolled inside. She looked at the tall and wide house in front of her. It was huge, even bigger than the Lexington Villa.
Painted all white, it screamed elegance and maintenance.
The car rolled down the driveway. In the driveway, a wall fountain was present. The water fell from the opening in the small wall adorned with lightening and at the top, it was written in bold letters…The belonging name. Alexander Estate.
Sara averted her eyes from the purple and red lighted fountain and fixed them at the main door of the house.
The car stopped in front of the door and a man dressed in a butler’s suit opened the door for her. She stepped outside and straightened up her back, her eyes dull and no emotions reflecting on her face.
Did she feel bad that she thought Silas only wanted her money at first? No she didn’t, because Silas portrayed himself to be someone like that at first.
He was the one who was supposed to be ashamed because he lied and deceived her from the very beginning.
The Silas she fell in love with…He was not the CEO of Alexander Co. He was just Silas Alexander. But, the man she was supposed to meet today was not the same.
“ Sir is waiting for you. ” The butler informed her and she began walking after breaking out of the trance.
The butler lead her inside where the helpers of the house were lined up.
“ Is this some kind of welcome party? ” Sara mumbled under her breath which didn’t go unheard by the butler.
“ Grandmaster asked all the staff to be present when the new mistress of this estate arrives. ” The butler explained, making Sara cringe. He used such old terms that it gave her a headache.
“ I bet you call Silas…young master. ” She shook her head, a faint smile gracing her lips.
All the helpers were standing in line paying her respect but she didn’t need to get to know them. She was not going to stay for long, anyway.
“ Please Follow me, young mistress. ” The butler requested after noticing Sara’s disdain with everything.
Sara did as he asked politely and followed him up the flight of stairs. She hadn’t gotten the time to look around. Perhaps, she was not even interested. She was done with this rich people shit already.
The butler walked her down the corridor where a lot of art pieces were hanged on the wall. She ignored everything and kept her eyes fixed at the butler’s broad back.
Suddenly, the butler stopped in front of a door and Sara stopped one step behind him.
“ It’s young master’s room. They are waiting for you inside. ” He informed her and took a step away.
