Aiden POV

I’m excited and nervous. I also feel like at any moment I might lose my hand through one of these contractions. Isaiah is manning the pack but checking in with me to see how Thalia is doing.

Mom and dad are outside waiting for their grandpups and Damaro already called Mia and Blanca to let them know that Thalia is in labor. I also found out that Mia is now pregnant and so she definitely is keeping tabs now.

“You’re doing great, Mojito.” She said as another contraction hit her.

“Drugs. I want drugs.” She said through gritted teeth.

“Your uncle is coming with them soon.” I said. She is in pain but still, the way she says things makes me want to laugh.

“I am not doing this seven more times, Aiden!” She said as another contraction starts to make its wave. “I’m going to have a serious talk with the Moon Goddess!”

I chuckled, “Let’s talk about this later, Mojito.”

Raul comes in and Thalia has lost whatever patience she has left and screams out, “TIO! GET THE FUCKING DRUGS ALREADY!”

“Sobrina, before I can, I need to check you first.” He said.

I stand behind Thalia and hold her with both of my hands, because apparently, I won’t be needing them in the future. She is uncomfortable and in pain. I’m trying to push calm through our bond, but I don’t think it’s doing much.

“Okay, you are about halfway dilated. I’m going to administer the epidural and that will give you some relief until it’s time to deliver.” Raul said. After everything was done, Thalia felt much better and my hands were salvaged.

My mojito, for the most part is acting back to normal. “Where are your folks?” She asked.

“They are outside. Do you want them to come in?”

“No. You may need them for moral support though. Sorry about your hand.” She said, and she looks like she is feeling guilty about it.

I pulled her chin up, so her eyes met mine, “It’s okay. I didn’t need them anyway.” I smirked.

She chuckled, “That Heath guy still standing out there?”

“Yup.”

“Should you go see him and release him?”

“Nope. I’m staying here.” I said. Fuck that guy.

“Aiden…” She said. “I’m good for right now. You should go release him and find out about that blast. Anything new that we see, we need to investigate. It might be important. What if it’s the tool we need?”

She has a point, but I don’t want to leave her. “I will go, if you allow my mom in here. She can mind link me if something happens.”

“Bring both your folks in here. Then you won’t need to worry.”

“Oh, I’m going to worry, mojito.” I said and I went to the waiting room. “Mom? Dad?”

They both got up and hurried over. “Yes? Has she given birth already?” Mom asked and her eyes are hopeful.

I chuckled, “Not yet. She is halfway dilated. She just got epidural.” I continued, “She wants me to check on that alpha still standing out there. She wants me to find out about the blast that came from him and I told her I didn’t want to leave her.”

“You do right, son. That guy can stay out there all night. Fuck him.” Dad said.

I laughed, “Yeah, but Thalia is insistent and says it could be important for the future. She asked that you both stay with her as a compromise.”

“Say no more.” Mom said. “We will stay with her. Go figure out what is up with that idiot Alpha.”
