Julian POV
I have been watching Rodrigo, and he is doing really well with the ports. I was hoping he would fail but it would appear that he is getting additional help in addition to the investment he received from Aiden. I am trying to find the kink in the chain that I can exploit, but so far, I haven’t found one.
I know he is desperate for a mate. I am thinking of exploiting that angle. He now has a shadow maw wolf, which is superior to a regular wolf. I may be able to parade some beautiful women around him and see if he takes the bait. Then I will have an inside woman providing me with intel.
The more I think about the idea, the more I like it. Once I have information on him that I can exploit, then I will use it to make him concede ownership of the ports. I will pay pennies on the dollars too. I won’t help him pay back that fucker Aiden. He is messing up my plans to begin with anyway.
I need to make sure that I have Rodrigo under my thumb. Aiden gave him an out, but I am going to pull him back in. Once he is in, then it’s only a matter of time before I start getting everything I need imported to the ports.
I know I need a special tool, if I am going to win this war. I also know that the tool will have an extra component that I have yet to find. If I can find it before the war, then I can win the war and start making shadow maws rule again. We will wipe out the wolves and the humans. Well, maybe I will keep humans as servants. No reason for any shadow maw to be a servant unless it’s to serve me.
This is going to take the right informants, the right leverage, and the right timing. This sets my plans back some, but I will be able to get things back on track soon. As soon as they are, I will move quickly to enact my plan and start the rules of engagement, starting with Blackstone.

Isaiah POV
“Why is she waiting until next weekend?” I asked Thalia.
She looks at me with sympathetic eyes. “Kaia has a plan in motion but needs Sinclair’s help, Isaiah. She had every intention of coming this weekend, but the situation changed.”
Aiden also looked at me, but with pity, “Bro, I know it’s disappointing, but it’s one more week. Remember I waited fourteen years to find Thalia. You need one more week and then you will know if Sinclair or Kaia is your mate. At least you know it is one of them.”
I groan inwardly. I’m frustrated. Storn has been pacing in my mind, wanting to go back to the human city to find Sinclair and Kaia, but Aiden and Thalia are going to need me here for the next month. I cannot leave right now. Jonah cannot run the pack by himself, and neither can I. We are going to tag team Aiden’s responsibilities along with our own.
‘We need our mate!’ Storn said.
‘Storn…enough. One more week and then we will know who our mate is, and then it will be at least three more weeks before we can get back to the human city. Don’t make this any harder for me.
‘We are going to go into rut if our mate doesn’t come back!” He said.
‘I know, but we are going to have to tough it out for those couple of days. Aiden and Jonah are both aware we have to be in the dungeons for those couple of days. That is why we can’t leave right now.’
Storn whines in my head. ‘I want my mate.’
‘I know, Storn. I do too.’ I said. Why? Who the hell knows. They are pains in my ass, but which ever one of them is my mate, I want her and we will figure out everything else after.
Thalia looks at me, “Is Storn okay?”
“Desperate for his mate.” I said as I sighed.
“So are you. I feel bad.” She said, but then continued, “You would be lucky to have either one of them or both of them as your mate, Isaiah.”
“Both? Are you trying make me go insane?” I said.
She chuckled, “No. I simply mean that both of them would make a good mate for you.”
I sighed and I feel dejected. Every time I think I am about to find my mate, the goal post is moved.
