Chapter 62 A Slap

“Okay!” Nina said.

Without a hint of hesitation, she climbed into Lucien’s little car.

Lucien drove her toward the direction her tiny finger pointed.

Amelia hurried over to stop them and asked, “Nina, who is this little boy?”

Lucas replied, “I’m Lucien! Lucas is my brother. I played with Nina yesterday!”

The moment Amelia heard Lucas’ name, her impression of Lucien instantly improved.

Lucien seized the chance and suggested taking Nina inside to play.

He said, “My house is right here! I know this place so well!

“There are guards everywhere. I won’t lose her!”

Before Amelia could say anything, Lucien stomped on the pedal and zoomed toward the gate.

Sure enough, the guard saw him charging in and didn’t stop him at all.

On the tiny Mercedes, Lucien tried to figure out who “Arun” was.

He said, a little confused, “The Arun you’re talking about… that has to be Aaron!

“But Nina, Aaron is not poor! There’s no way he’d be so broke that he has to eat your snacks!

“Did someone trick you?”

“Arun poor!” Nina declared.

She still had her pink little backpack on.

Inside it was the sandwich she brought for Aaron!

The sandwich was made by their nanny. It tasted amazing.

“Aaron is not poor!” Lucien insisted.

He was just as stubborn as she was and insisted on arguing.

Nina argued right back.

In the end, both of them were puffing with frustration.

Lucien suggested, “Let’s make a bet! If Aaron isn’t poor, you have to be my follower!

“If Aaron is really poor, then you’re my boss! I listen to you!”

“Okay!” Nina shot back. She knew what a bet was.

Moments later, after a dramatic drift, the miniature Mercedes stopped at the inner gate of Aaron’s villa.

Lucien said, “Aaron is inside. Nina, wait for me while I park!”

This villa area had plenty of other kids, too.

Lately, Lucien had made quite a few enemies.

His car had already had its wheels stolen three times.

So he always locked up the wheels before leaving it.

While Lucien was busy protecting his car, Nina-still carrying her pink backpack-climbed out on her own. She stepped over the threshold and walked inside.

She was here to find Aaron.

“Arun! Arun! Nina here!” she hollered.

But her soft baby voice was completely drowned out by the music.

There was no way a group of wealthy young heirs would hold a party without entertainers to amp things up.

Several members of a top boy band and a few models were there.

Music, dancing, laughter-everything blended into a chaotic but vibrant mess.

Nina followed the noise and didn’t walk far before she spotted Aaron.

“Arun!” she called again.

The next second, she froze.

She watched as a beautiful woman leaned into Aaron’s arms.

The gorgeous model smiled, tilted her head up, and kissed Aaron on the cheek. And he didn’t dodge.

Nina’s eyes went wide.

She was tiny, yes, but she watched TV and loved cavesdropping on adults gossiping.

She had even witnessed a middle-aged lady “catching her husband cheating” at the small plaza once.

Nina knew a lot. And she knew this was wrong.

Aaron and Megan were together. He was not allowed to kiss other ladies.

Arun, a bad guy!

Seeing Aaron “turn bad” right in front of her eyes, Nina rushed over in fury.

Aaron only noticed her when she got close.

“Nina? What are you doing here?” he asked, a little flustered.

He straightened immediately and gently pushed the model off his shoulder.

He reached out, ready to pick Nina up, and asked, “Where’s your mom? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”

Aaron and Nina were actually pretty close. He was there the day she was born.

Whenever Amelia was swamped and couldn’t find a babysitter, Aaron would step in and watch her.

So seeing Nina pop up, his whole vibe changed.

“Hmph!” Nina didn’t answer him. She climbed straight onto his lap.

People nearby were stunned by the sight of this angry little one climbing onto Aaron.

“Uh… whose kid is that? She seems really close to Aaron?”

“Hey, she looks familiar.”

“She’s adorable. Too pretty, like a doll.”

But before they finished whispering, Nina lifted her chubby hand and slapped Aaron’s right cheek. the one that had just been kissed.

The crisp sound made everyone in the room suck in a cold breath.
