Seraphina stood there in shock for a long time. The nurse, seeing her dazed state, couldn’t help but offer, “If you don’t believe it, we can have the doctor test your blood again.”

Snapping out of her thoughts, Seraphina’s gaze hardened. “Please do.”

Seraphina took the paper. It was light as a feather, yet it felt unbearably heavy in her hands.

The nurse observed the gravity on her face. It’s just a mix–up with her blood type. Why is she acting like this is some earth–shattering revelation? Could it be that she’s struggling to accept having such a rare blood type? Sure, it’s unique, but it’s not such a big deal, is it?

The nurse quietly left the room to give Seraphina some privacy.

Staring at the paper that clearly stated “Rh–negative,” Seraphina felt her heart sink.

“Rh–negative,” she murmured with a bitter laugh. “How ridiculous.” If Oberon and Chloe’s blood types are accurate, then I can’t possibly be their child.

Deep down, Seraphina had a growing sense that she might not truly belong to them.

But… I need to confirm their blood types beyond any doubt. What if one of them got it wrong? Seraphina calmed herself, already formulating a plan. Clutching the test results tightly, she left the room.

The moment she returned, Thomas noticed something was off about her demeanor, though he assumed it was due to the blood draw.

“You just had blood taken. You should rest for a bit,” Thomas said gently.

Seraphina shook her head. “I have something to take care of. I’ll be leaving now.”

Before Thomas could respond, Seraphina turned and walked away.
