“Not leaving?” Seraphina’s cold gaze swept over Jayton.

“Screw you!” Jayton spat, his voice venomous.

Before he could even register his words, a loud slap cracked through the air. His head snapped to the side in disbelief, his eyes wide in shock as he stared at Seraphina. The surrounding thugs were equally stunned. None of them had expected her to actually strike.

“D*mn you!” Jayton roared, fury flashing in his eyes. In a fit of rage, he grabbed the nearest chair, his movements quick and violent, and swung it toward Seraphina.

Rowan, utterly terrified, stood frozen where he was. His heart raced, and his feet felt rooted to the spot as he watched the scene unfold in front of him.

But just when it seemed that Seraphina would be overpowered, she moved with surprising speed. In an instant, she sidestepped the chair, her body twisting with grace as she landed a powerful spinning kick directly to Jayton’s chest.

The force of the kick sent him stumbling back, and he crashed into his lackeys. They barely managed to catch him before he could fall completely.

Jayton’s face twisted in humiliation, his pride crushed by the swift turn of events. He screamed, “What are you all standing there for? Get up and beat this b*tch to death!”

At his command, his group of lackeys charged forward, surrounding Seraphina from all sides. The restaurant’s patrons, seeing the chaos escalating, bolted in all directions. Onlookers began to gather around at a safe distance, intrigued by the unfolding spectacle.

Someone from the crowd called out, “Oh my, so many people picking on a young girl. She’s in for a rough time.”

But to their surprise, the fragile–looking young girl in the center of the scene seemed to turn the tables. One by one, the thugs who charged at her were sent sprawling, kicked, and tossed aside as if they were mere toys, sent flying through the air like discarded watermelons.

The onlookers watched in stunned silence as the scene unfolded. Rowan stood there, his mouth agape in shock.

This was unbelievable. She was so strong!

What he had once thought was a certain fate–being beaten by the thugs–had now turned into a complete reversal.

Seraphina walked calmly to Jayton and placed a booted foot on his chest. Looking down at him from above, she asked coolly, “Are you satisfied with this result? If not, I could always offer you a half–year hospital bed vacation.”

At the sound of her words, Rowan couldn’t suppress a chuckle.

Jayton, red–faced with humiliation and fury, clamped his mouth shut, unwilling to speak further. His pride had been utterly shattered, but he understood the futility of resisting. If he didn’t shut up, he would be forced to submit.

Suddenly, Jayton felt a sharp, searing pain in his chest, so intense that it made him wince and twitch uncontrollably.

A pained scream tore through the air, and at last, Jayton surrendered completely. “I’m sorry! I swear, I won’t do it again! Please, just let me go!”

Seraphina withdrew her foot and squatted down beside him. She leaned in close, her voice dropping to a low murmur meant only for him to hear. “Jayton,” she said softly, “if you want me to spare you, you can. I have a little task for you. Pick up the chair and beat that man.” She paused, ensuring he understood. “Understand? Blink if you do.”

Jayton blinked rapidly. At this point, his only hope was that she would let him off the hook.

Seraphina stood up. She addressed the group of thugs, her voice firm and resolute. “Be a good person,” she said. “Don’t go around causing trouble every day. Stirring up trouble will eventually come back to bite you.”

Rowan, standing nearby, nodded in agreement. The onlookers around them, who had been silently observing, also murmured their approval.

Jayton, seizing a moment of distraction, grabbed a plastic chair and made a beeline for Rowan.

By the time Rowan noticed what was happening, it was far too late to react. He was rooted to the spot, unable to move in time.

Suddenly, a small, swift figure darted out of nowhere. Without hesitation, it shoved Rowan aside, causing him to stumble, and the chair crashed down heavily onto the figure instead.
