Oberon hesitated for a moment before speaking, his tone awkward but hopeful. “Mr. Drakon, this is Oberon Whitewood, Seraphina’s dad.”

Jason paused, momentarily caught off guard. “Mr. Whitewood, what’s the matter?” he asked, his voice softening slightly.

“I need your help. Do you have a way to get in touch with Dr. George Foster?” Oberon responded bluntly, the urgency clear in his tone.

Jason’s expression darkened. “What’s the matter?”

Seraphina was running a high fever and has now been in a coma for three days. The hospital is puzzled, having conducted numerous tests without any findings. We’re running out of options, and only Dr. Foster may be able to help.” Oberon explained, his voice shaky.

Jason felt a sense of despair. “I see. I will handle it.”

As soon as the call ended, Jason dialed his assistant. “Grady, get the plane ready. We’re leaving for Pyrin immediately.”

Hurrying downstairs, Jason nearly collided with Evelyn, who was walking toward her room.

“Uncle Jason, what’s wrong?” Evelyn asked, noticing the tension in his face.

“Seraphina’s had an accident,” he replied bluntly.

Evelyn froze, her disbelief clear. “Huh? I’m coming too!”

Jason didn’t argue as they headed to the gate, only to find Nicolas, Evelyn’s dad, waiting there disapprovingly.

“Evelyn, where are you off to now?” Nicolas asked, his tone sharp.

“I’m going where I’m needed, and that’s not your concern,” Evelyn retorted, her patience running thin.

Jason interjected, trying to avoid a scene. “Nicolas, we need to get to Pyrin. It’s urgent.”

She shoved him aside and slammed the car door shut.

Nicolas stood there, torn between frustration and helplessness, as the car pulled away.

Jason assured, “Don’t worry, Nicolas. I’ll keep an eye on her.”

Before long, the car sped toward the airport.

On his way, Jason tried calling George directly but didn’t get an answer. Frustrated, he reached out to George’s assistant instead.

“Mr. Drakon, Dr. Foster is currently engaged in a research project and is not taking calls. He can only be reached if he initiates contact. Additionally, he prefers not to be disturbed,” the assistant explained nervously.

“Where is he? I’ll speak to him in person,” Jason insisted, his tone firm.
