immediately. She’s been out all day without checking in on her daughter. Also, get the car ready -I’m going to the hospital.”

When Oberon arrived, his face darkened at the sight of Seraphina lying unconscious in the hospital bed.

Standing nearby, Shane glanced at him with a cold smirk. “Well, Mr. Whitewood, it’s about time. You Whitewood folks sure know how to prioritize.”

His words were sharp and laced with bitterness. A full day and night had passed, and no one from the Whitewood Family had shown up to see Seraphina. It was clear how little she mattered to them.

Oberon’s face stiffened at the remark. Feeling embarrassed, he asked, “How is she?”

“She’s not dying,” Shane replied bluntly, his tone cutting.

The evening came and went, and Seraphina still didn’t wake.

“What’s happening?” Oberon demanded, turning to the doctor.

The doctor frowned, his confusion evident. “Her fever’s gone, and her vitals are completely stable. By all accounts, she should’ve regained consciousness. Let’s run a full set of tests to see if we missed anything.”

The tests revealed nothing unusual. Despite this, Seraphina remained unconscious. The room was thick with unease as both Shane and Oberon realized something wasn’t right.

Chloe intercepted the doctor as he was passing by. “Doctor, what’s wrong with my daughter? Why isn’t she waking up?”

The doctor sighed. “Her fever caused the coma, but it’s gone now, and her vitals are fine. She should’ve woken up already. The fact that she hasn’t suggests there may be an issue here.”

He tapped his temple. “We’ll need more observation to understand what’s happening.”

By the next day, there was still no change. Seraphina remained unconscious, and every test result came back normal.

“Isn’t there anything else we can do?” Oberon asked, his tone growing desperate.
