Chapter 269 Plan Everything for His Wife and Daughter

Three days later...

Kenneth came here from Vadiff. As his car was stopped, the chauffeur opened the door for him.

Kenneth found himself feeling sad.

Once skeptical of Benjamin, Kenneth could tell that Ben genuinely loved Madelyn over the years... Now, with Ben's health issues, he still made arrangements for his wife and daughter whenever he still had a clear head.

Kenneth walked to him and asked, "Is Madelyn out?"

Benjamin looked up and appeared somewhat surprised. He stood up and replied, "She's gone to Everest Group to handle something."

Kenneth understood that Benjamin had given Everest Group to Madelyn.

Finally, he said, "Alright, I actually have something important to discuss with you."

Given that he came =so suddenly, Benjamin inferred that he was here for something significant. He said with a smile, "Let's go to the study on the second floor."

They went to the study upstairs.

Kenneth took a seat and began to smoke. He looked up and asked, "How have you been?"

Benjamin was making coffee.

Then he handed a cup of coffee to Kenneth and sat down across from him.

Surveillance footage shows that her producer ex-husband had contact with her while they were in the hospital... They brought him in for questioning, but he's quite cunning and there was no concrete evidence. Because o his special status, they had no choice but to release him."

Benjamin sipped coffee slowly.

Kenneth continued, "After their divorce, I heard he struggled to make a living in Monatiz and has now worked as a producer since he came back. He certainly has a motive! But don't worry, I'll keep a close eye on him."

Benjamin nodded.

They were sitting and drinking coffee...

After a long while, Benjamin placed a medical record on the coffee table.

Kenneth picked it up, and the more he read, the more shocked he was!

Looking at Benjamin, Kenneth felt astonished. Benjamin felt helpless and said with a faint smile, "Kenneth, my memory of Madelyn is fading with each passing day. There are moments when I even forget who Everest is when I look at her..."

Kenneth lit another cigarette.

Kenneth, I implore you to take care of not just Madelyn and her children but also Eloise... For any important decisions to make, I'm asking you to help them."

Kenneth didn't like to hear these words at all.

He frowned and asked, "Ben, I'm telling you that don't even think about burdening me with your entire family! You... you've forgotten everything and are living a carefree life. But what about Madelyn? What about the children?"

Benjamin gazed deeply into Kenneth's eyes.

He forced a bitter smile and replied, "Kenneth, I used to tell Madelyn not to give up on me and to remember to find me! But, Kenneth, who can predict the future? I... I just want her to have hopes. When a person is desperate, life becomes incredibly bleak!"
