The middle–aged woman grabbed Seraphina’s arm just as she was about to leave, surprising her. Preoccupied with Sebastian’s pressing issue, Seraphina paused just long enough for the woman to get a firm grip.

“You’re not going anywhere until this is resolved,” the woman snapped, her voice filled with indignation.

Seraphina scowled. “Let go of me.”

Instead of releasing her, the woman turned toward the parking lot and yelled, “Hey, everyone! Come take a look! These people hit someone and are trying to run off!”

The commotion drew a small crowd of bystanders eager to witness the drama.
