The Abandoned Heiress Reborn to Be Cherished (Seraphina) novel Chapter 255

Take another route,Seraphina demanded firmly.

Shane quickly turned off the main road and onto a narrow, winding path. This detour would extend their drive by at least thirty minutes, but it was their only option.

The car roared down the narrow road, its engine pushed to the limit.

While they were halfway there, Shane’s phone rang. He answered right awayit was Jamal.

Mr. Shane, we’ve arrived,Jamal reported.

Did you find him? What’s the situation?Shane asked, his voice tense.

Ryan replied, No sign of him. Ryan Lambert must’ve caught wind of us and ran. Only a few lackeys are hanging around the warehouse. The kid you’re looking for isn’t here.

Shane’s grip on the wheel tightened. Keep searching. Track down Ryan Lambert and figure out where he’s hiding.”

Understood,Jamal acknowledged.

After ending the call, Shane glanced at Seraphina and reassured, Don’t stress. No news usually means he’s safe. Ryan Lambert knows I’m on his trailhe wouldn’t risk harming Sebastian.”

Seraphina nodded but didn’t look convinced.

Ryan LambertThe name stirred a sense of familiarity, yet the memory slipped away, obscured by the turmoil of her thoughts.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the dock. Shane parked the car outside a large, weathered warehouse. A group of his men, led by Jamal, waited by the gate.

As Shane stepped out, they greeted him respectfully, Mr. Shane.”

Their gazes flicked briefly to Seraphina, who got out of the car behind him. Her expression was cold and focused. Everyone exchanged quick glances, the same thought flashing through their minds. So, this is the girl Mr. Shane rushed back to see after his mission.

Shane asked, Did you find him?

Jamal stepped forward and reported, We’ve checked the whole warehouse. There’s no sign of the boy. We questioned a few lackeys hanging around, but they claim they haven’t seen him.”

Could we be chasing the wrong lead, Mr. Shane?Jamal added hesitantly.

Before Shane had a chance to speak, Seraphina interrupted, Take me to them.

Moments later, a trio of bruised and battered lackeys was dragged forward. Their hands were tied, and they were forced to kneel in front of her.

Jamal nudged one of them with his boot. Talk. Don’t even think about lying.

The lackeys nodded, visibly trembling.

Seraphina crossed her arms, her sharp eyes scanning them. When did Ryan show today?

One of the men stammered, Aaround 3 p.m. He’s been here since then.”

Did anyone else come with him?Seraphina pressed on.

No, no one,another replied quickly.

She went on, Do you know Sebastian Franklin?

The lackeys exchanged nervous glances before shaking their heads in unison. We don’t know him. We just do odd jobs outside.

Seraphina’s expression remained unchanged. She turned to Jamal and spoke flatly, They’re lying. Don’t waste any more timedeal with them.”

Her words stunned everyone. Even Shane’s men, hardened by years of rough work, blinked in surprise at her cold decisiveness.

Jamal smirked slightly, impressed. She appears delicate, but she’s much toughercertainly a great match for Mr. Shane. The other girls can’t compare to her.

The lackeys broke into panicked protests.

We’re not lying! Please, you have to believe us!
