The Abandoned Heiress Reborn to Be Cherished (Seraphina) novel Chapter 256

Chapter 256 He’s Still Breathing, Isn’t He?

Ratty Ray!

Ryan Lambertof course, it’s him. That slimy, conniving rat. It’s always him.

How did I not realize it sooner? Ratty Raythe man who destroyed Sebastian’s life in my past life. I never forgot his nickname, a name so fitting for someone as sneaky, greedy, and cowardly as a rat. But his real name? That barely registered until now.

In my past life, he went after Linara. He dragged her out of a club, and the Whitewood couple, desperate and powerless, came to me, begging me to reach out to the underworld for help.

That’s when everything fell apart.

That’s when I lost the only person who genuinely cared about me.

That’s when I lost Sebastianthe sweet, innocent boy who used to call me Seraphina.

And now, it’s him again. Ratty Ray. The same pathetic excuse for a man. But this time, it’s Sebastian he’s taken. This time, he’s dragging me back into that nightmare.

No. Not again.

Imagining Sebastian in his grasp sent chills through Seraphina’s veins.

The three lackeys tied up before her could see the rising tension. One of them cracked first.

He stammered, I’ll talk! I’ll talk! The boss brought a kid with him.

Seraphina stepped forward, her voice sharp and unyielding. Where is he?

The lackey hesitated, trying to gain some leverage. If I divulge this, will you let me go?

Her expression turned cold. Speak or die.”

That was all it took to break him. He’s in Warehouse No. 8! I swear!

Lead the way,she commanded.

The lackey staggered forward, followed closely by Seraphina, Shane, and the others behind.

There, that’s Warehouse No. 8.He pointed to a large, locked door.

Jamal stepped forward and inspected the door. Mr. Shane, it’s locked,he noted, turning to the lackey. Where’s the key?

1/3

The boss has it!the lackey replied, trembling.

Break it open,” Shane ordered flatly, his tone leaving no room for

argument.

One of the men grabbed an axe and started hacking at the lock. The door creaked open after a few heavy swings, revealing the dark, suffocating interior.

The smell hit them firsta sharp, metallic stench of blood.

Seraphina pushed past everyone, her heart hammering in her chest. A tiny figure hung limply in the middle of the room, swaying softly.

The sight was horrifying. Sebastian’s body was covered in cuts, and blood dripped steadily from his wounds, pooling beneath him.

Jamal and the others froze, the gruesome scene leaving them speechless.

Shane tried to step before Seraphina, but she shoved him aside, her eyes locked on the figure.

Get him down!Shane barked, his voice filled with urgency.

Jamal and his men scrambled to cut the ropes. Sebastian fell, and Seraphina caught him in her arms. Her hands trembled as she reached for his neck, searching for a pulse.

Nothing.
